Derek Lam Office and Studio

Working with architect SO-IL, MG & Company renovated an industrial space in a classic SoHo cast iron building and converted it into offices and a sample workshop for fashion designer Derek Lam. Bringing structural geometry back to a space that had been settling for decades was a key challenge, as was executing design details just as the architects envisioned, such as a black glossy wall that is the focal point of the space. The team achieved all this successfully on the tightest of budgets.
