Almost 20 years managing all types of construction projects have taught Kevin that the most important thing on any project is to create a partnership with the client. Establishing a relationship built on trust, Kevin guides the client throughout the construction process, which can often be complex, and, in the case of opening a new restaurant in New York, quite daunting. Striving for quality and productivity, Kevin’s attention to clients’ goals and budget allows them to focus their energy on the countless other tasks new ventures require. At MG & Company, Kevin has put his particular expertise in restaurant construction to use; he recently completed Casa Nona and has worked on multiple projects for chefs Daniel Boulud and Bobby Flay, as well as many iconic New York fixtures such as Marea and the Institute of Culinary Education.
Vasile has worked with the MG & Company team since 1995, when the firm was Bronx Builders. Here, he began by working side-by-side with his father as a carpenter, and then worked his way up to foreman and his current role as project manager. With MG & Company, Vasile has overseen the successful completion of multiple projects, including residences, restaurants, and retail shops, including Sprinkles Cupcakes and New York’s first Chobani yogurt bar. For his projects, Vasile uses an approach that he’s learned from hours spent on the soccer field: always stay ahead of the ball. Vasile constantly tries to anticipate potential problems and hurdles in order to keep the project running smoothly.
Tim Lutz has worked in and with building trades in New York City for almost 35 years. In addition to being trained as a master carpenter, he has been a partner in several carpentry businesses, including the millwork shop Marvelous Muebles in Long Island City. He has handled projects with a range of budgets, from modest to multi-million dollar. Beginning with concept budgets that give owners a sense of their possible expenses through rounds of value engineering to final fixed proposals, Tim aims to bridge client goals with the realities of current pricing.
